Both sides from Buffalo

A driver-guide collects you in Buffalo, Grand Island or Niagara Falls NY and covers both sides of the falls in about five hours: the Cave of the Winds, Table Rock, a boat ride and the Skylon Tower. It's the tour for anyone flying into Buffalo, and it has a planned winter version.

Niagara Falls US and Canada Tour with Buffalo Pickup

About this experience

Most Niagara tours won't touch Buffalo. This one starts there, with pickups in Buffalo, Grand Island and Niagara Falls NY, about 30 minutes from the falls. The listing allows up to 55, but guests report groups as small as two to four in a car or van with one driver-guide. The route: the Cave of the Winds on Goat Island, across the Rainbow Bridge to Table Rock, a boat ride, the Skylon Tower, the Whirlpool, the Floral Clock and the Niagara Parks Power Station. Water and snacks are included.

Read the boat line carefully. The listing includes Niagara City Cruises (Canadian side) or Maid of the Mist (US side), based on seasonal availability. That means you might ride the red-poncho Canadian boat rather than the Maid of the Mist. Both go into the Horseshoe basin, but if the blue-poncho boat is the point, ask which one your date uses. In winter, when both boats are closed (Maid of the Mist from November 8, 2026), the tour swaps in Journey Behind the Falls with tickets, and the Cave Gorge Trip replaces the Hurricane Deck. A guest in April 2026 got exactly that.

You cross into Canada, so everyone needs a passport. The listing is specific: US or Canadian citizens bring a valid passport; permanent residents bring a passport plus their green card or PR card; everyone else checks the visa rules with Canada's immigration service. Some attractions and shops on the route take cash only, and the listing says closed attractions are not refunded or replaced, apart from the winter swaps above.

What guests say

★★★★★

I booked this reasonably priced outing (which includes all admission tickets) as a solo traveler less than two days in advance. [...] I loved never having to figure out where to park, where to buy tickets, and how to be at the right place to meet the timed ticket entry window.

Despite the holiday crowds, everything was incredibly well organized thanks to our guide, Johnny. He handled all the logistics, kept the group moving smoothly, and made sure we were able to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed.

The experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this tour. You got to go on all the attractions on both the US and Canada sides of the falls plus several other interesting areas.

We really enjoyed our tour with Johnny. We were a small group and Johnny took good care of us, told us interesting facts and made sure we saw the falls from both sides. Well worth it!

Tips before you book

  • Ask which boat your date uses if the blue-poncho Maid of the Mist is the point.
  • Carry some cash: the listing says certain attractions, shops and tickets need it.
  • Tell the operator about slow walkers or tall travellers. A guest found the back seat tight with three.
  • Bring your own booster seat for under 8s, or request the paid rental at booking.
  • Third-party tickets and city passes aren't accepted. Everything must come through the tour.
